ANS provides motoring organisations, recovery operators and industry suppliers with the ability to communicate securely, reliably and efficiently.

The stakeholders in ANS comprise the following motoring organisations:

  • Equity Red Star
  • Green Flag
  • The Rescue Service
  • RAC

 

ANS is the sole communications network responsible for the successful delivery of 6 million requests for roadside assistance across the UK and Eire.

The aforementioned organisations utilise ANS to quickly dispatch instructions for roadside assistance to 400 independent recovery operators that subscribe to the network.

Following an RFI issued by a consortium comprising the above motoring organisations, Apex Networks was awarded the contract to replace the previous BT network. Apex designed, developed and delivered, on time and to specification a fully resilient messaging network utilising enterprise systems capable of completing 200million transactions a year.

Apex provides 24/7/365 support to all users of the ANS network via telephone and if required, remote assistance.

All connections to the network are monitored and the helpdesk proactively deals with any issues that arise.
