By speaking to a range of customers, Darryl quickly realised the necessity of getting the new product spot on. “A windscreen is not only ‘glass’, but a vital part of the vehicle’s structure,” he says. “It can host any number of technologies from noise reduction to Heads-up Displays.” Windscreens are very specific to each model, and cars are increasingly manufactured with a broad range of sub-models. A windscreen can have any number of tiny variations, and this makes pinpoint accuracy harder to attain.

Apex constantly updates Whatwindscreen, ensuring it is a well-oiled machine that keeps up with the frequent changes in windscreen manufacture. It enables you to put in a vehicle registration and receive back the precise glass amongst all the millions available. Once located, the firm can order it from a supplier, receive or pick it up, and often fit it as quickly as the next day. “You can’t legally drive with a damaged windscreen,” says Darryl. “But with transport essential to so many people, precision is a very strong asset for any windscreen replacement business.”
